The showground is managed by the trustees of the Bellingen Showground Trust.
Trustees are appointed by the Minister and serve a five year term. The Trustees are all volunteers and walk in the footsteps of people who have championed the grounds for the past hundred years.
The Trustees are committed to promoting the traditional, agricultural history of the grounds and acknowledging the demand for music tutorial and arts space in our growing community. North Bellingen is developing its residential area and the grounds are used for passive recreation from dawn to dusk.
Buildings are used for tutorials, Conferencing, Dance class, Self Defence, Circus Skills, Choir, Art Classes and karate . There are bookings for Weddings and parties for special celebrations. The grounds provide the facilities for large Camps for visitors attending Jazz, Camp Creative, Relay for Life, Naidoc day and Australia Day. Bellingen Growers market operates every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Bellingen Agricultural show remains a highlight of our year. Global carnival and the Renewable Energy Fair bring thousands of people to visit the grounds. Locally M.a.d.e presents the music of the Youth in the area each quarter of the year.
The grounds are a regional centre for the equestrian community, adult riders, agistors and the grounds are regularly used for annual gymkanas and the annual Pony Club tutorials, Pony Club camp and Horse Tutorials. The grounds and buildings provide a vital support for important educational, sporting and cultural and social events of regional significance throughout the year.
This year is the Centenary of the Bellingen Showgrounds.
